Red needles, pill-size holes, dried up lumps of resin, empty cones, and a missing scent are only a few of the aesthetic signs of a dead pine tree. “The Hindwing” is my artist response to the bark beetle attack which is signaling an impending forest insect outbreak and threatening to chomp our last green lung.
“The hindwing” has recently been selected for the Berlin Revolution Film Festival. Due to COVID-19 the festival will be live-streamed and my film (which is 15 mins long) will screen on Saturday 4th of April at some point between 8:00 and 9:30 pm (Berlin Time).
